The NBC is a non-profit local association under UAE law working under the umbrella of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, commonly known as the Dubai Chamber.
Established in 1965, the Dubai Chamber is a non-profit organization, whose mission is to represent, support and protect the interests of the business community in Dubai, by creating a favorable business environment; supporting the development of business; and by promoting Dubai as an international business hub.
A vital service from Dubai Chamber is its Business Networking Development iniative. Working with Busines Groups and Business Councils, the iniatitive aims to help the private sector liaise with the Government departments and the local businesses with their global partners. The department also works towards attracting investments to Dubai and opens new channels of communication with other foreign trading centers and commercial entities.
The business groups working under the umbrella of Dubai Chamber were established to strengthen interaction between Dubai Chamber and its members, and among the members themselves. The business councils were established by Dubai Chamber under the decree of HH the Ruler of Dubai. These councils represent Dubai-based companies that belong to a certain nationality.
